Hey Neighbor! October is one of the BEST months to be in the garden, especially if you’re gardening in Zone 9! Cooler temperatures are moving in, the soil is still warm, and there’s plenty you can plant now for fall, winter, and even spring harvests.

In this episode, Greg breaks down what to plant in October and the garden tasks you don’t want to forget.

???? WHAT TO PLANT IN OCTOBER:

• Carrots, beets, radishes, turnips & rutabagas

• Broccoli, cauliflower & cabbage

• Collards, kale & mustard greens

• Kohlrabi & bok choy

• Lettuce, spinach & Swiss chard

• Cilantro, dill & parsley

• Garlic, shallots & multiplier onions

• English peas, sugar snap peas & snow peas

We’ll talk about the onion varieties we’ve had the best success with here at Hoss, as well as other varieties that perform well in our Southern growing conditions.
