If you have not yet, please consider a donation to support Nickels Soil Lab. Your donation will help Nickels Soil Lab (NSL) continue to provide valuable research results to strengthen California agriculture in 2023 and regroup for new, innovative (lower input cost) plantings in 2024. With your support, this privately owned research farm will continue to work with the University of California, growers and industry to support tree crop production and local communities for another 50 years. Please join us at the UCCE Colusa office for coffee and donuts to watch a helicopter — many thanks to Yerxa Farms — drop up to 300 individually numbered golf balls on the putting green at Colusa Golf Course (the course will be closed to the public during this event).

Purchase your tickets below or mail your check to our office: individual tickets are $40/each or a set of 3 tickets can be purchased for $100, limited to the first 300 tickets, no need to be present to win. Each ticket will have a number that matches one of the golf balls and if your golf ball is in one of the four locations listed below, you win a prize.

WHO WINS?

PRIZE#1: The closest golf ball to the pin wins a Prosteel Theftgard Gun Safe donated by Beeler Tractor Colusa and Air-O-Fan Products.

PRIZE#2: The 2nd closest to the pin wins a $600 gift card to Kittle’s Outdoor and Sports Co., Colusa, donated by Simplot Grower Solutions.

PRIZE#3: The 3rd closest to the pin wins a Tiffany & Co bracelet.

PRIZE#4: Furthest from the pin wins a fully loaded Yeti cooler.

Introducing our evening's Comedian, Jeff Applebaum

A native New Yorker, Jeff has appeared on the “Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson,” Comics Unleashed, America’s Got Talent, and his highly rated Dry Bar Comedy special was released in 2022! He was in “The Pursuit of Happyness” with Will Smith, and plays the role of Joey Bishop in the long running musical tribute to The Rat Pack.

Jeff is also active in the business and hi-tech worlds, has two engineering degrees from MIT, and also helped to set up an organic cucumber farm in Morgan Hill, CA . He enjoys meeting and performing for people around the globe. Learn more at: www.jeffapplebaum.com
