JCS reports your continuing education attendance to DPR and CCA on your behalf. This page explains exactly when that happens, how to check your own record, and what to do if something is missing.
Allow 30 days. Credit does not appear straight away. Wait 30 days after an in-person event, or after you finish an online course, before checking. Most questions about missing credit resolve themselves inside that window.
You do not need to submit anything separately after completing these steps. If your name or license information is missing or incorrect, contact JCS immediately. There is no final correction cutoff, but corrections received after JCS has submitted its attendance report take longer to process and to appear on your record.
You receive your completion certificate immediately after completing the course.
In-person courses: certificates are left at the same CE table where you checked in. After you complete the required checkout process, return to that table and pick up your certificate before you leave.
Online courses: your certificate becomes available electronically as soon as you complete the course and all required participation or assessment steps.
If you lose a certificate, email JCS with your full name, your DPR license number and/or CCA certification number, the course or event name, the course date, and your registration email address. JCS can retrieve and reissue it from its attendance records. Records are kept for at least three years after the course date, as DPR requires.
The only way to see your complete credit totals, including courses taken through organizations other than JCS, is through DPR’s or CCA’s own systems.
DPR is the only one of these two programs that requires every approved course sponsor to report attendance directly to the agency. That makes DPR’s records the most accurate central source for sponsor-reported DPR credit. Keep your certificates anyway, in case a record is missing or rejected.
Sign in to your CCA account and open your CEU statement, which shows your recorded courses, category credits and total hours.
CCA records can include sponsor-reported credits, QR-recorded credits and credits you reported yourself.
JCS can only confirm attendance and credit for courses JCS offered. To request a JCS attendance lookup, email JCS with the JCS course or event you attended, your full name, your DPR license and/or CCA certification type, and your license or certification number.
Allow at least 30 days after the event or online course completion first. If the record is more than 30 days old, email JCS. Copy this and fill it in so nothing has to be asked twice:
JCS course or event: Course or event date: Full name (exactly as on my license): DPR license and/or CCA certification type: License or certification number: Certificate attached: yes / no
JCS will review its attendance records and confirm whether you completed the course and were included in the attendance report. Attendance lookup requests are reviewed within five business days.
You can also go directly to the agencies:
These are the most common reasons a credit cannot be matched to you. Four of the five are settled at registration or at the CE table, before you leave.
Entering your license information carefully, completing every attendance step, and keeping your certificate prevents almost all of these.
