State Water Board releases revised draft decision on Sites Reservoir, sets comment and vote dates
The board’s revised draft would authorize the proposed 1.5 million-acre-foot reservoir to divert up to 986,000 acre-feet of water per year from the Sacramento River, enough to supply about 8.4 million people annually. The revisions expand diversion opportunities and align the project with the final draft Bay-Delta Plan; final written comments close Oct. 5 and the board will consider adoption at its Nov. 4 public meeting.
Key date: Oct. 5: Final written comments on the revised draft water right decision and permit are due.
